« I grew up in a family with amazing characters and it was such an experience !!
We are in the 70’s when my parents’ slogan was: freedom, hope, discovery.
My Dad, a real Dandy at this time, wearing Ray-Ban, would always drive his convertible Triumph on his way to the beach. He taught me how to love nice things, charming places and fashion.
My Mum, with long hair blowing in the wind, dreamt about oceans and travels. She gave me the love of art, music, dance and shows.
In my car seat, I rocked to the noises of the engine and the Rolling Stones’ liberating music.
With my grandparents, there were other times that also influenced my choices in life.
My maternal grandfather, who loves operas, woke me up singing Carmen, and helped me sleep with wonderful poems he wrote.
My paternal grandfather was scientific and helped me understand the link between humans and nature.
My maternal grandmother was blonde with wonderful blue eyes, and looked like Ingrid Bergman. She had a conservative éducation.
My paternal Italian grandmother designed dresses and coats with embroideries and plums. She had help from her sister who worked for the best designers.
The link between all of us was the love for beautiful things, travel and discovery.
How to behave correctly is not easy none natural, and Umbert has learned it through life experiences and travels.
So fly with Umbert, a modern dandy, to live a true gentleman experience, with the new etiquette and respect.
